1. Who you are contracting with

The Domain Eight service (the "Service") is operated by Domain Eight, a business name of an Australian sole trader based in Victoria, Australia. In these Terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Domain Eight.

2. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or continuing to use the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and by our Privacy Notice and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be of the legal age to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction.

3. The Service

Domain Eight is an independent CISSP-style study and exam-readiness platform. It provides original practice questions, answer explanations, manager-mindset study content, domain-focused practice, adaptive practice, CAT-style practice sessions, and progress tracking.

4. Accounts and account security

You must provide accurate registration information, keep it up to date, and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Paid accounts are intended for a single user. Sharing paid account credentials with other people, or otherwise providing multiple people with access to a single paid subscription, is not permitted.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• Use the Service unlawfully or for fraud, spam, or abuse.
• Scrape, spider, crawl, or use bots or other automated tools to extract content from the Service.
• Systematically download, capture, reproduce, or otherwise harvest the question bank or any substantial portion of Domain Eight questions, answer options, or explanations.
• Copy, republish, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or make Domain Eight content available to any third party.
• Use Domain Eight content to create, train, or improve any competing question bank, study product, exam-prep dataset, or machine-learning model.
• Share paid account credentials or bypass subscription restrictions.
• Bypass, disable, or interfere with any authentication, access control, rate limit, or other technical protection.
• Interfere with the operation of the Service, upload or introduce malware, or knowingly submit data designed to disrupt or damage the Service.
• Infringe the intellectual property or other rights of anyone else.

This clause does not prohibit legitimate, good-faith personal use of the Service; it prohibits unauthorised extraction, redistribution, interference with, and abuse of the Service.

6. Intellectual property

Except for material identified as belonging to third parties, all original Domain Eight content — including the question bank, question wording, answer options, explanations, manager-mindset takeaways, application copy, user interface, branding, and software — is owned by Domain Eight or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

"CISSP" and "ISC2" are marks owned by their respective owners. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right in those marks. Domain Eight does not claim ownership of any official CISSP examination content, public standards, or third-party frameworks.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Service for your own individual study. All other rights are reserved. This licence does not permit any redistribution, resale, sharing, scraping, or use of Domain Eight content to build a competing product.

7. Payments, subscriptions, and taxes

Where applicable, our online reseller Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for purchases of paid plans. Paddle handles checkout, payment processing, subscription billing, applicable taxes, invoicing, and refund processing, and provides customer service for billing and transaction enquiries. Payment and transaction mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.

Domain Eight currently offers a monthly Pro subscription and a one-time Pro 6 Months purchase. Prices are shown at checkout and are inclusive of any taxes Paddle is required to collect.

8. Automatic renewal and cancellation

The Pro monthly plan is a recurring subscription that automatically renews at the end of each billing period until it is cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and your paid access continues until the end of the current paid billing period.

The Pro 6 Months plan is a one-time purchase that provides six months of Pro access. It does not automatically renew.

9. Refunds

Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy, applicable consumer law, and Paddle's refund process.

10. Service availability

We aim to keep Domain Eight available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, your right to use the Service ends.

12. No warranties (subject to consumer rights)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. This clause does not exclude or limit any consumer guarantee that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Domain Eight will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Australian consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms or in our Refund Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law where it applies.

15. No exam guarantee

Domain Eight is a study and exam-readiness platform. Use of the Service does not guarantee that you will pass the CISSP examination or obtain any certification. Exam outcomes depend on many factors, including a candidate's knowledge, preparation, experience, and performance.

16. Certification and ISC2 independence

CISSP® is a registered certification mark of ISC2, Inc. Domain Eight is an independent study platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ISC2.

All Domain Eight practice questions are independently created for educational and exam-readiness purposes. Domain Eight does not use, reproduce, or claim to provide official ISC2 examination questions, and does not replicate or claim to reproduce ISC2's proprietary CISSP examination scoring or Computerized Adaptive Testing algorithm.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the Service or by email where reasonably possible. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer law, the courts of Victoria and applicable Commonwealth courts have jurisdiction in relation to disputes arising from these Terms.
